Happy with yesterdays progress. These guys don’t muck around once they get into it. The plumbers are APL Plumbing and Tanks.
Plumbers on the scene yesterday but couldn’t do much until the excavation had finished.
Finally got some sense out of the council, spoke to two wonderfully helpful people and we won’t require a a permit to Discharge Waste into the imaginary Sewerage System and won’t be requiring a 1000 litre grease trap.
Next stage of development and we have a minor hiccup! Someone didn’t peg the site out properly, @#$#, another several truck loads of soil had to be excavated from the site. We are also having a bit of a battle with Council re a Trade Waste Application to discharge Trade Waste into a Sewerage System, a little ironic when we don’t have a Sewerage System in Mt Carbine. Also Council reckons we need a 1000 litre Grease Trap at a cost of about $10 000. The business has run with a 40 litre grease trap for 27 years with no problems. We will have to take Whale Blubber off the menu, there will be a lot of disappointed Inuit’s.
Hi all. Welcome to our blog. We would like to share the rebuilding of our new Roadhouse at Mt Carbine. We lost the original roadhouse to a devastating fire on September 15th 2013.
Shane Smith Builders Mareeba have been awarded the contract to rebuild our new roadhouse. Our aim with this blog is to document the various stages of development during the rebuild.
